It gives us pleasure to inform that DecarbonDHS voice was heard at the National Network of Green Municipalities event, which took place in Plunge on November 22, 2024. This event was attended by business and science leaders, coordinators of the Green Municipalities Network representing their municipalities. Welcome speech was given by Audrius Klišonis, Mayor of Plungė District Municipality, President of the Lithuanian Association of Municipalities (Fig. 1).
During the event, the activities of the Municipal Innovation Centre, the Green Finance Institute and the Innovation Agency were presented. The opportunities for municipalities to participate in EU international programmes and the prospects for changes in heating networks were also presented (Fig. 2).
Finally, Rimantas Bakas made presentation on the perspectives of district heating sectors, including also ongoing projects and their role in supporting the development on this sector. This is where DecarbonDHS was presented (Fig. 3, Fig 4.) Thank you all the participants for interesting discussion!
