On 30 April 2025, the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences hosted a DecarbonDHS workshop on the current status and prospective solutions for the Baltic Sea Region (BSR). The meeting featured discussions on existing district heating infrastructure, energy sources, efficiency, carbon emissions and the potential for integrating other renewable energy sources into district heating networks. The workshop was dedicated to industry experts, heat and energy supply companies, administrations, and anyone interested in decarbonising district heating networks.
