
On 18 May, the DecarbonDHS project was presented during the III Pomorskie Forum Energetyczne “Samorządy w transformacji – od strategii do realizacji”, held in Chmielno, Poland. The event brought together representatives of local governments, energy institutions, experts, and practitioners to discuss practical approaches to energy transition and the implementation of renewable energy solutions at the regional level (Fig. 1)
The forum was organized by the Związek Gmin Pomorskich in cooperation with Wojewódzki Fundusz Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej w Gdańsku and Anel.
During the event, Adam Cenian presented the DecarbonDHS project, highlighting its role in supporting energy transition, integrating renewable energy sources, and developing sustainable heating solutions for local communities. The presentation also featured the DeCrises project as part of the broader discussion on innovative approaches to decarbonisation and regional resilience (Fig. 2)

The forum gathered key stakeholders from regional authorities, environmental institutions, municipalities, and the energy sector, including:
- Malwina Śnieg – President of Management Board of the Wojewódzki Fundusz Ochrony Środowiska i Gospodarki Wodnej w Gdańsku
- Andrzej Pollak – Chairman of the Związek Gmin Pomorskich
- Adam Gawrylik from the regional government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship
- Marek Bogacki – Vice-President of Energa Wytwarzanie
- Marcin Strzelczyk – Energa Operator
- Krzysztof Pałkowski – Head of Department of Environment and Agriculture at Marshal’s Office of the Pomorskie Voivodeship
The discussions focused on renewable energy development, energy cooperatives, anti-smog policies, financing instruments, and innovative solutions supporting regional energy transformation.
We would like to thank the organizers for creating a valuable platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and cooperation in support of sustainable energy transition in the region.
