On June 19, 2025, the DecarbonDHS project was presented at the national seminar “Energy sector planning in municipalities for the transition to renewable energy”, organized by the Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI) with support from the Association of Local Authorities in Lithuania.
As part of the seminar’s agenda, Dr. Rimantas Bakas delivered a presentation on the DecarbonDHS project (Fig. 1), highlighting its role in supporting the planning of the district heating sector. The presentation contributed to broader discussions on renewable energy integration and energy storage technologies in municipal energy systems.
This online seminar brought together participants from 37 municipalities and 16 education and research institutions, offering a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration on energy transition strategies.
